As a Super Busy Mom my favorite types of workouts are ones that are Quick and Convenient!

Body weight exercises for fat loss are the foundation of many of my Fit Yummy Mummy workouts.

No fancy equipment needed ~ just your own body.

All moves can be done right at home.

I love full body moves that challenge all the large muscles for a supercharged metabolism and a lean, toned body.

Here are 7 body weight moves for fast fat loss workouts you can do anywhere.

1. Prisoner Squat

How To Use

~ if you are just getting started with your fat loss goals
~ when time is short and you want to stay on track
~ to add variety to your current workout
~ when you are traveling and have no other equipment

Do not be fooled!

These moves are quite challenging when you use them in your workouts with intensity. Using good form and keeping the rests between moves short keeps your heart rate up and makes your muscles work even harder!

I will typically choose 4 to 6 of the moves, perform 10 – 15 repetitions of each and repeat 3 times for a complete 15 minute Fit Yummy Mummy workout!

When you combine the resistance with the right amount of cardio ~ which are your “intervals” ~ and you clean up what you are eating ….you can double and even triple your Fat Loss Results!

So here's to ME! Cheers!

Hello,
I'm new to blogging. I did one for an advanced writing class once, and found it very enjoyable--Thoughts From Capuchina, lol. I'm now writing again to the public with the sole purpose of being honest with myself. Ok, I have many reasons, but that's the main one. For me writing helps me think, helps me to visualize what I think, helps me to know how I think, and also helps me to understand how I really feel and what I really want.

That said, in the process of getting to know myself, I'm also trying to change myself--to improve myself. For the sake of time (because I've given myself 20 minutes to write--my timer says 15 min left. I live by timers, but more on that later), today's short intro will familiarize you with two of my most pressing goals- to be FIT and to be ORGANIZED.

1.) Be Fit
This goal has never really left, and to be honest, I intend to never let it leave. I grew up super skinny, that's just a way I was. "A bean pole" or "a tall drink of water" as my dad's Dad would say. I am still slender, but I could lose a couple pounds. My main goal however is not to loose pounds but to tone up. In the process I'm sure my weight will change, but I'm going on measurements and appearance. I don't think looking at a scale everyday is necessary or even beneficial.
The two main people who have inspired me, and who promote more or less the same kind of fitness and nutrition advice, are Holly Rigsby from http://www.fityummymummy.com/ and Zuzana from http://www.bodyrock.tv/. These women are amazing! They are dedicated to a healthy lifestyle, and their awesome bodies show it. Like them, I believe fitness and nutrition should be natural, uplifting and wholesome. I follow their bodyweight exercises, their cardio intervals and I try to eat whole, natural foods. I'm borderline vegetarian, and just need to make the jump!
I'm on my 5th day of straight workouts. I have been working out for over a year now, well since my son was born and he's some 20 months but I haven't been consistant. However--I am motivated!! and I will BE FIT! Even more important-- I will be healthy, happy and hot! (that reminds me of Marie Forleo, but more on her later)

2.) Be organized

Ok, so this topic is huge, and my lack of organization is killing me!!! My timer is already up, but I want to mention really fast that today I am starting anew with the FLYLADY's help (www.flylady.net). I found her probably 3 years ago, but again, lacked the consistancy and discipline needed to really make much difference. I really like how she has things set up, it's not for everyone, but it is for me!! I admit I'm better than I am before.

I've got to go because I said I would at twenty minutes. But I want to report that today, right now the kitchen is clean, the front room is clean, and my laundry is in the drier. I told myself after my "break" (writing to you! Whoever you are) I would mop the floor and then do homework. So here goes my mopping.

And here's to me! I'm officially declaring that I am a fit person and an organized person! I refuse to think otherwise.

Cheers!
